Sometimes, what you shoot ends up looking blue or washed out. In post you can use the color correction or color balance tools in your editing program to adjust the colors. The link below will run a short wmv file that shows an example of color correction/balance.
The illustration on the right shows the settings that were used to adjust the image in the example. This dialog box is from Grass Valley/Canopus Edius Pro but most editing programs have similar controls. Note that the adjustments are rather small.
